Director & Lead Teacher
Mrs. Heffley began her work in education as a substitute teacher for 7 years. After completing her student teaching in a first-grade classroom, Mrs. Heffley served as a Kindergarten teacher for 3 years. While she enjoyed kindergarten, she chose to try another grade and taught first grade for her final year in a public school setting.
When the opportunity to open an in-home micro-school was presented to her, Mrs. Heffley jumped at the chance. She now enjoys educating students in a relaxed atmosphere, where they are free to take chances and experience learning through hands-on activities.
